Karl Wild is the author of the ranking of the best winter hotels. He works as a publicist and hotel and restaurant tester in Langnau am Albis ZH. He and his team of more than a dozen hotel and tourism experts and frequent travelers visited all the hotels. In order to maintain a level playing field, only hotels with at least 12 rooms and their own restaurant were considered.

2015: TOP 100 OF THE MOST WELCOMING HOTELS IN SWITZERLAND
As part of the 18th Swiss Holiday Day, Suisse Tourisme awarded the WELCOME PRIZE for the third time, which recognizes the most welcoming hotels in Switzerland. This award is given to hotels that, following an analysis of the evaluations carried out on more than 250 Internet platforms, have received the most favourable opinions from their customers regarding hospitality. In the “Small Holiday Hotels” category, Art.Boutique.Hotel Beau-Séjour de Champéry was ranked 34th this year.
2015: THE 222 BEST SWISS HOTELS
The Magazine, Connoisseur Circle has awarded for, which rewards the best Swiss hotels. This distinction is awarded to hotels following an analysis by a jury and mystery visitors. In the category “Klasse an der Kasse” the Art.Boutique.Hotel Beau-Séjour de Champéry took 16th place.

THE HOTEL BEAU-SEJOUR DE CHAMPERY WINS THE AWARD IN ITS CATEGORY
As part of the 16th Swiss Holiday Day, Suisse Tourisme for the first time, the WELCOME AWARD, which recognizes the most welcoming hotels in Switzerland. This award is given to hotels that, following an analysis of the evaluations carried out on more than 250 Internet platforms, have received the most favourable opinions from their customers regarding hospitality. In the category “Small holiday hotels” it is the Art.Boutique.Hotel Beau-Séjour de Champéry which won this “Oscar of hospitality”. Three other institutions were awarded in other categories.
The Welcome name is that of a small statue representing the famous “man with golden keys”, the caretaker of a hotel, who makes sure that he is always attentive to the needs of the guests of an establishment. This small statue, symbol of the “Switzerland’s most welcoming hotel” award, was awarded on the basis of several hundred thousand comments made by guests from June 2012 to the end of March 2013 on more than 250 online booking and evaluation sites. All hotels in Switzerland for which a minimum of 30 ratings were available automatically took part in the selection for the prize. Following the analysis of the evaluations carried out by TrustYou and the opinions of the jury members who visited the finalist hotels, the following four hotels, in four categories, were selected as winners of the WELCOME 2013 AWARD:

Art.Boutique.Hotel Beau-Séjour: the extra charm
Housed in a magnificent chalet dating back to 1914, this establishment is the first and only one of its kind boutique hôtel 3 étoiles du Valais. Held for 3 years by Sophie and Philippe, the Beau-Séjour represents a delicate alchemy between comfort, respect for tradition, modern tools (wi-fi is free), all skilfully mixed thanks to the permanent smile and the availability of the owners and staff.
The hotel’s 20 rooms, all different, offer a warm and family atmosphere, highlighted by personalized and original attentions and services, such as the famous pastries that Sophie makes, and of which she has published a small book. With its children’s corner, the wide freedoms taken during the official breakfast hours, the wine cellar which confidently offers excellent wines in self-service to guests, its cosy lounge, a charming hotel, the Beau-Séjour is a concentrate of charm and conviviality.
